Milwaukee’s Barcode give their take on proper house music partying with their initiative, Press Play. Press Play delivers big sound, low lighting, and intimate vibrations all to put emphasis on what matters most: the music. Soundscapes will be provided by the following selectors:

Mike Dunn: As an international touring DJ and Chicago House legend, Mike Dunn is one of the most important headlining acts to set foot in Milwaukee. His work can be traced all the way back to his 1987 release, “Dance You Mutha” on Westbrook Records. Mike Dunn’s recent hits “God Made Me Phunky” and “Phreaky MF”, both of which have been rereleased on Defected Records, have brought his sound to new audiences (Resident Advisor). After just coming off an unforgettable extended set at Chicago’s famous Smartbar, Mike Dunn is on a hot streak that is not to be missed. 

Twan: This Chicago native has been a rising favorite in Milwaukee. Twan is known for bringing soulful and energitic vibes to the dancefloor, which can be heard in his recent remix of CeCe Peniston’s “He Loves Me 2”. His long running residency at Chicago’s Celeste nightclub has solidified himself as a staple to the city and a pillar of the house scene. As this evening’s direct support to Mike Dunn, there’s no doubt that Twan will deliver an unforgettable set. 

Phlury & Riptide: Opening up the evening are the masterminds behind Barcode and Milwaukee’s top selectors. Phlury & Riptide combine hypnotic rhythms and driving bass lines to the dancefloor. Their weekly Saturday Barcode parties at Saint Bibiana have breathed new air into Milwaukee’s music scene. This work has caught attention outside of the city and has brought them to music city capitals such as Chicago, New York City, and Nashville.
