Raised among the back roads of Wisconsin, Rianna Marie started writing in the quiet rhythms of rural life. Her songs allowed her to step outside her hometown and find a deeper understanding of the world around her. After a few years in Nashville she’s back in Madison drawing inspiration from her midwestern roots. She writes often of ephemerality and the fickle nature of moments, relationships, and time. Exploring themes of introspection and how in knowing ourselves, we can find familiarity in the people around us. Rianna’s writing carries a classic singer-songwriter sound inspired by women like Kate Wolf, Joni Mitchell, and Gillian Welch. She’s happily shared the stage throughout the midwest with artists such as The Local Honey’s, Emily Scott Robinson, Chris Acker, The Spine Stealers and more. Her latest release ‘Time Down Here’ is available now.
