"A filmmaker, following the abrupt ending of a project in the making, leaves home to connect with a small cast of characters and the landscapes they live in to see what awaits him in the space between the death and birth of creativity. The film is oblique on purpose, serving as a Rorschach test for the viewer to find their own meanings in the film. The Foreground first premiered at the historic Clinton Theater in PDX in September 2024 and now, with many years in the making, is seeing its Midwest premiere here in Milwaukee."

Screening: Presented by Saint Jawn Cinema, featuring The Foreground, Ty Jacob and short works by Milwaukee filmmakers: Intake Report, Ally Ramirez; Nature Boy, Xarion Latimore, & As We Understood Him, Cecilia Downey

Forum: Hosted by The Foreground producer Bill Walker, with exhibiting filmmakers. Participation is open to all in attendance.
